Free Reads ~ James Patrick Kelly Reads Himself

James Patrick Kelly here. I write science fiction and fantasy. I've published a lot. For instance, I've won the Hugo award twice and the Nebula once. But what have I done for you lately? A couple of years ago, I started posting mp3 files of me reading my own stuff on my website, www.jimkelly.net. Now I'm podcasting. Things change.

LOOK INTO THE SUN Part Twenty

Here is Part Twenty of my 1989 novel LOOK INTO THE SUN. Time: 20:34 File Size: 9.9mb

Sorry for the hiatus. Listen up for my flimsy excuse!

Comments:
Jim, I don't know if you get time to read these comments but this episode seems to be incomplete or the file attenuated. It lasts 20 minutes 35 seconds, which is pretty well as advertised, but the reading ends suddenly and there's no closing theme music to the chapter, and no sign off from yourself.

Am I missing a bit of the story here?

The last words in the file here is you reading the line:

>>Nadavu pointed. "There is Montiarg."

I'm enjoying the story so I hate to think that I'm missing anything!

Cheers,

Nigel

OK, now I've got a copy of the book... (in hardback and signed by the author - *gasp!*) ...I can see that this chapter is complete. The next reading picks up where this one leaves off, with nothing missing.

Good.

Apparently the name of the City of Temples is spelled "Mateag", not "Montiarg", too.

Hmmm. I still seem to be struggling with Chani orthography. Seems that "Nadavu" is really spelled "Ndavu"...
