Free Reads ~ James Patrick Kelly Reads Himself

James Patrick Kelly here. I write science fiction and fantasy. I've published a lot. For instance, I've won the Hugo award twice and the Nebula once. But what have I done for you lately? A couple of years ago, I started posting mp3 files of me reading my own stuff on my website, www.jimkelly.net. Now I'm podcasting. Things change.

LOOK INTO THE SUN Part Fourteen

Here is Part Fourteen of my novel LOOK INTO THE SUN. Time 33:31. File Size: 16.1mb

So yeah, this is a week late. I've been kind of busy since I won a Nebula for BURN.

Comments:
Excellent! Another vivid chapter.

The nagging offers of the traders and the grabbing hands of the favelistas were all horribly credible, while the unsettling geometry of low-gravity architecture was an interesting and novel development, albeit a perfectly logical one. Given Wing's profession and the already distressing nature of his situation, it's not surprising that the oddity of it all nearly unhinged him.

Good writing - and, just for the record, I thought that you might like to know that chapters 13 and 14 combined just about make up the correct duration of an evening dog walk for an 11 year old Collie cross with a mild exercise obsession.

Thanks for Free Reads!
